Nick Gordon is worried that he won’t get a fair trail if he’s prosecuted for the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown because her family has trashed his reputation.
The longtime boyfriend of Whitney Houston’s daughter, who died in July at the age of 22, is asking a judge to stop a wrongful death lawsuit filed against him by her family until the criminal process is over.
The court documents argue that Gordon has been painted as a “murderer, habitual batterer of women, seducer of young white females, a thief and/or con man fueled by monetary gain, and a chemist capable of making a toxic cocktail,” TMZ reports. Cops are treating the 22-year-old’s death as foul play, and in June authorities said Gordon continues to be a person of interest.
He was the person who called 911 when she was found face down and unresponsive in the bathtub of her Atlanta home the two shared. (RELATED: Friend: Nick Gordon Choked And Hit Whitney Houston’s Daughter Before Hospitalization)
Reports claim a grand jury is now convening in Georgia to decide whether to charge Gordon. (RELATED: Brown Family Banned From Seeing Bobbi Kristina After Someone Tried To Sell A Photo Of Her On Her Deathbed)
