WASHINGTON — Pictures of Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert are popping up around Capitol Hill. One was even found in the inside of a bathroom stall at the Cannon House office building.

The photo of Rep. Gohmert includes a caption that reads, “My moment has come.”

The small posters were noticed immediately following the canceled speaker’s election vote. Gohmert has long been at odds with House Speaker John Boehner, who will leave his seat after a new speaker is elected and installed. It should be noted Gohmert is known to photo bomb his fellow members of Congress from time to time.

Boehner announced Thursday during a conference meeting that the House speaker’s election would be delayed. House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who received the endorsement of Boehner, withdrew from the race, leaving House Oversight Chairman Jason Chaffetz and Rep. Daniel Webster as the remaining candidates for speaker.
