Debbie Wasserman Schultz may have just inadvertently endorsed Daniel Webster for Speaker of the House during an interview Thursday on “MSNBC Live.”

Wasserman Schultz said, “We can find common ground; we should reach across the aisle. In fact, with Congressman Dan Webster, one of the candidates for Speaker, he and I don’t agree on almost anything but we have hosted bipartisan dinners [together].”

The Democratic National Committee Chair still took the opportunity to hit the Republican party suggesting, “the my way or the highway politics that the Tea Partiers in Congress have engaged in” needs to be “set aside.”

Wasserman Schultz further said bipartisanship “has just been dealt a huge setback today by the Republican disarray that’s on display.”

Debbie Wasserman Schultz: We can find common ground; we should reach across the aisle. In fact, with Congressman Dan Webster, one of the candidates for Speaker, he and I don’t agree on almost anything but we have hosted bipartisan dinners and those have been designed to get to know one another across the aisle, to you know make assumptions that if you know a little bit more about somebody personally, you probably are going to have an easier time working with them. Trying to work together and make sure that the my way or the highway politics that the Tea Partiers in Congress have engaged in, is set aside, has just been dealt a huge setback today by the Republican disarray that’s on display.
