Adam Searl — a punter on the UCLA football team — was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of rape stemming from a October 2014 incident.

According to Complex, Searl met the victim at an off-campus party in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles. After he drove her to a near-by home, the victim claims she fell asleep but woke to find Searl sexually assaulting her.

Authorities immediately launched an investigation into the incident, culminating in Searl’s arrest this week.

The 20-year-old Searl was released on $300,000 bail Friday morning. He had punted five times for UCLA during the 2015 season, but Bruins head coach Jim Mora suspended him from all team activities following the news of his arrest.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
