During the dumb debate last night, for some reason the candidates were asked which enemy they’re most proud to have. Hillary Clinton had a whole list, and she made sure the Republicans were on it. See, not only is half the population of the United States her enemy, but she’s proud of it.
Jim Webb’s answer was a bit more modest. It’s also an answer that, unlike Hillary’s, he won’t disavow when it no longer suits him. Even though it’s about killing a guy!
That simply won’t do, according to our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters in the media. Just ask Politico’s Ken Vogel:
Webb’s answer to Q about the enemy he’s most proud to have is creepy. https://t.co/Tg53JewlPe

And in case any of Ken’s peers didn’t get his signal of virtue, he sent it again:
Re-upping @JimWebbUSA‘s creepy smirk when describing enemy soldier apparently killed after targeting him. https://t.co/Tg53JewlPe

Declaring that vast swaths of the United States are your enemy isn’t creepy. Recounting the moment you defended your own life against an enemy combatant in wartime, and not being sheepish about it? Now that’s creepy.
The last word goes to David Burge, because it’s his world and we’re all just living in it:
.@kenvogel Killing an NVA who just threw a grenade at you is an earned smirk. How did you earn yours? https://t.co/FOaFYFdBaL
