Seattle Seahawks fullback Derrick Coleman was arrested by Bellevue, Wash. police Thursday and is under investigation for vehicular assault and hit and run.

Since joining the Seahawks in 2012, Coleman has played in 22 games for the team, including two starts this season. He missed the last 11 contests of the 2014 season recovering from a broken foot.

Coleman played his college ball at UCLA, and is the first deaf player to be on an active NFL roster.

In his book — “No Excuses: Growing Up Deaf and Achieving My Super Bowl Dreams” — Coleman talks about losing his hearing at age three and having to rely on hearing aids and lip-reading in the huddle.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
