Donald Trump seemed to fault former President George W. Bush for not stopping the Sept. 11 terror attacks, saying, “the World Trade Center came down during his reign.”

Trump made the remark on Bloomberg’s “” Friday after anchor Stephanie Ruhle asked him how he would respond in a moment of crisis, mentioning Bush and President Barack Obama.

“I think I have a bigger heart than all of them. I think I’m much more competent than all of them,” he said. “When you talk about George Bush, I mean, say what you want, the World Trade Center came down on his time.”

Ruhle pushed back, saying that Bush couldn’t be blamed for the terror attacks.

“Well, he was president, OK,” Trump answered. “Don’t blame him, or don’t blame him, but he was president. The World Trade Center came down during his reign.”

“If you look at Sandy Hook, those people are still begging for help,” he continued. “It’s a disaster, and it’s a disaster all over the place. Government has proven to be a disaster during the Obama administration. What we need is a leader. We don’t have a leader.”
