Democratic Rep. [crscore]Adam Schiff[/crscore], the ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, agreed Thursday that the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails is “absolutely legitimate.”
Schiff, appearing on “Morning Joe,” told host Joe Scarborough, “Absolutely, I think it’s legitimate for the Justice Department to look into the proper classification of the information and whether any steps need to be taken to be taken to protect it.”
When Scarborough first asked if the FBI investigation was a “legitimate investigation, Schiff insisted, “Well first of all, it’s not an investigation of Hillary Clinton. The investigation by the Justice Department is looking into whether materials were classified at the time, if they were not classified, whether they should have been classified, and whether any steps need to be taken to protect the information.”
