Liquor delivery company Minibar announced on Oct. 28 it will add a new subscription service which allows users to set up automatic deliveries.

The co-founder of Minibar, Lara Crystal, told Next Web News, “[s]ince we launched Minibar, customers have been requesting subscriptions. Now anyone can set up a weekly beer order for their office or have their favorite white wine delivered exactly when they know they’ll need it.”

The idea for having a recurring delivery option came from the desire to have an efficient way to keep the clients happy. (RELATED: Taco Bell To Start Serving Booze)

Crystal said to TechCrunch that “[f]ifteen percent of our business is from corporate clients, whether they stock up on beer to have a complete kitchen or host a monthly happy hour. For office managers, the idea of running out to get mixers and beer for the office can be a real hassle, so we wanted to make things easier on them.”

Minibar works by letting consumers order their beverage of choice from local partnerships with liquor stores. Minibar then retrieves the order and delivers to your doorstep in under an hour. (VIDEO: ‘Holy S**t That’s Good!’ The Daily Caller Goes To A Beer Festival)

From the partners surrounding The Daily Caller News Foundation in Washington, D.C., there are over 500 options for wines, over 1000 types of liquors, and over 200 beers.

“[W]e pride ourselves on creating the best way to shop for wine, beer, and spirits online,” Crystal told TheDCNF. “So everything we do is with our customers in mind–for example, all of our customer service is done in house, we let our users book bartenders for their events, and with the launch of our subscriptions, you can see how we put the customer first–you can cancel anytime and set up the re-order on your own schedule.”

Minibar is one of many entrants participating in the sharing economy, which is a business model built around the sharing of resources. The co-founder said that companies like Uber and Airbnb–two of the pioneers for the model–definitely influenced her business. “The modern consumer,” she said, “expects to be able to get what they want, when and where they want it – including alcohol.”

Minibar currently delivers to a number of major cities including: Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, DC.
