Feminist Bigwig: Male Castration ‘Doesn’t Make You A f***ing Woman’

Germaine Greer is famous for her 1970 book, “The Female Eunuch,” which argued sexism de-sexualizes women and fills them with self-loathing.

Now, Greer is under fire for belittling folks known as “transgendered women.”

The fracas started when Greer trashed Glamour magazine for planning to name a certain Olympic gold medalist who identifies as Caitlyn Jenner despite having male plumbing one of its women of the year. On the BBC program “Newsnight” on Oct. 22, she blamed “misogyny” for the selection of Jenner because people think “that a man who goes to these lengths to become a woman will be a better woman than someone who is just born a woman.”

The pioneering feminist cast Jenner as a publicity whore, trying to outshine his/her ex-wife, step daughters and daughters renowned for their reality show “Keeping up with the Kardashians.”

“It seems to me that what was going on there was that he/she wanted the limelight that the other, female, members of the family were enjoying and has conquered it, just like that,” Greer said

The backlash to Greer’s thought crimes was fast and furious. An online petition that gathered 2,000 signatures asked Cardiff University in Wales to cancel her scheduled Nov. 18 lecture.

But Greer simply doubled down.

“Just because you lop off your dick and then wear a dress, doesn’t make you a fucking woman,” she declared in a statement. “I’ve asked my doctor to give me long ears and liver spots and I’m going to wear a brown coat but that won’t turn me into a fucking cocker spaniel.”

The Australian born writer explained that, “I do understand that some people are born intersex and they deserve support in coming to terms with their gender but it’s not the same thing. A man who gets his dick chopped off is actually inflicting an extraordinary act of violence on himself.”

Ouch.

The interesting thing is that Greer attracted attention for simply subjecting transgendered people to the same kind of skepticism any honest reporter would. But instead of asking obvious questions they almost uniformly slobber over the whole movement.

Plus, you have WaPo reporter and pronoun police officer Caitlin Dewey unleashing an anonymous bot that zinged anybody who used the male pronoun for Caitlyn Jenner.

Sounds like Greer could be Dewey’s next target.
