Our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters in the media are nothing if not scrupulously consistent.
“I want to just stipulate at the beginning of this interview: We are declaring a Rev. Wright-Free Zone today. So, no questions about Rev. Wright. Our viewers want us to move on, so this morning we’re going to move on. Is that okay with you?”
“Fair enough. That sounds just fine.”

It's amazing how offended candidates like @RealBenCarson are by the presidential vetting process. Welcome to the big leagues.

Zone defense. In the big leagues.
But the two examples are completely different, you see, because Ben Carson isn’t a Democrat. Why would CNN want to give him a break? Why would they ever defer to his wishes, or those of his supporters? It would be ridiculous to grovel for approval from an African-American candidate for president who belongs to the wrong party.
And incidentally:

No, a major news network is NOT slandering a black man who's running for president. @CNN is.

P.S. The great David Burge sums it all up, as usual.
Not gonna vote for Carson. I do however find him useful as a lens for understanding media idiots.
