Heather Locklear is speaking out for the first time about Charlie Sheen’s HIV diagnosis.
The actor revealed Tuesday that he was diagnosed with the virus four years ago, and Locklear posted a photo of her and Sheen on Instagram Tuesday.
“My heart hurts,” Locklear captioned the photo. “Prayers for Charlie and his family.”
Sheen and Locklear starred on several seasons of “Spin City” together for six years, and are longtime friends.
During an interview with Matt Lauer Tuesday, Sheen said he thought he had a brain tumor at first. (RELATED: Charlie Sheen’s Ex-Girlfriend ‘Shaking And Upset’ — ‘He Never Said Anything To Me’)
“It started with what I thought based on this series of cluster headaches and insane migraines and sweating the bed completely drenched, two, three nights in a row, that I was emergency hospitalized,” Sheen said.
“I thought I had a brain tumor. I thought it was over. After a battery of tests and spinal taps and all that crap, they walked in the room and said, boom, here’s what’s going on. It’s a hard three letters to absorb, you know. It’s — it’s a turning point in one’s life.” (RELATED: Charlie Sheen’s Ex-Wife Reveals Whether She And His Kids Have HIV)
