Mike Jolley sticks to his guns.
The Harris County (GA) Sheriff has been elected to six consecutive terms, and he’s a taking a stand for the “silent majority” among his electorate with the following addition to the county welcome sign.
WARNING: Harris County is politically incorrect. We say: Merry Christmas, God Bless America and In God We Trust. We salute our troops and our flag. If this offends you… LEAVE!
“It’s time for the silent majority to stand up for our beliefs and not be ashamed,” Jolley told the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.
Additionally, Jolley said that while he doesn’t intend for the sign to offend anyone who isn’t Christian.
“They’re more than welcome to worship whatever God they choose fit,” but “for me and mine, we worship Jesus Christ.”
