Watch This Hockey Player Get His Throat Slashed Open [VIDEO]

A hockey player had his throat slashed open during a Sunday game between Slovan and Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk of the Russian Kontinental Hockey League.

Yugra forward Vitaly Sitnikov was slashed across the throat by the skate blade of former NHL player Ladislav Nagy after Nagy fell following a shot attempt, according to Yahoo sports.

This isn’t the first time tragedy has struck the KHL. In 2008, a prospect of the New York Rangers died on the bench during a KHL game, and in 2011 a plane carrying a KHL team crashed killing 43 people.
