The Sunday game for the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League against the Swift Current Broncos was delayed after 28,815 teddy bears were thrown on the ice for an annual charity event.

It took 40 minutes for the teddy bears to be cleared from the ice for the “Teddy Bear Toss” — an an ongoing charity event for 21 years that has gathered more than 300,000 bears for local charities.
