“They got spooked,” claims one official, likely due to a wave of arrests on several terror suspects in their vicinity.

This revelation calls into question some key aspects of the San Bernardino case. First, if Farook was planning a terrorist attack in 2012, he must have been radicalized prior to the existence of ISIS. Second, because this plot occurred before Farook met his wife and accomplice Tashfeen Malik, it is unlikely that she was solely responsible for his radicalization, contrary to some speculation by investigators.

Third, it calls into question how Farook was able to perpetrate the San Bernardino attacks if his prior activities were known to officials. Finally, who is the unnamed prior accomplice and are they still active in the US and known to law enforcement?
