In what’s easily the weirdest story of the day, seven Lehigh University football players have been slapped with a littany of charges, ranging from trespass to assault, after they broke into a house and beat up one of the residents inside.

According to Deadspin, junior defensive back Brian Githens and six other teammates entered the home around 3:00 a.m. on November 8 in an attempt to exact revenge for a previous assault on one of their friends, but they accidentally broke into the wrong house.

Githens admitted to punching holes in walls, kicking down bedroom doors and repeatedly punching a sleeping resident, “sending him to the hospital.”

Additionally, one of the assailants urinated in the victim’s refrigerator.

A preliminary court date of December 30 was set on Wednesday.
