Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton tossed a touchdown pass that was reminiscent of a sniper threading the needle to take out the bad guys in a hostage situation.
In the first half against the Atlanta Falcons Newton dropped back to pass, and sliced the ball within an inch of a defender’s helmet, fractions of an inch away from another defender’s hand and ultimately into the hands of a receiver in the end zone. Newton is the favorite to win the NFL MVP award, and if he continues making throws like that, it will be tough for anybody to beat him out. He has led the Panthers to a perfect 13-0 record while putting together a highlight reel season.
