Ole Miss football star and top NFL draft prospect Robert Nkemdiche has been charged with drug possession.
Nkemdiche was hospitalized after falling at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. When police searched his room they found “approximately 7 rolled marijuana cigarettes” which triggered the marijuana possession charges according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Police believe that Nkemdiche broke his hotel room window, and then hurt himself falling while trying to climb a wall. Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze said when the initial incident happened that, “obviously Robert’s well being is our greatest concern,” but Freeze has not commented since Nkemdiche was hit with the drug charges.
Nkemdiche’s brother Denzel, who also plays for Ole Miss, was hospitalized in the intensive care unit for unknown reasons in November. (RELATED: Johnny Football Had Another Classic Manziel Sunday [VIDEO])
