Fox Sports commentator Jason Whitlock admires Tom Brady for standing by Donald Trump.
On Thursday, Whitlock appeared on Colin Cowherd’s show “The Herd” to discuss Brady’s relationship with the leading Republican candidate. He said:
I completely defend and respect Tom Brady’s loyalty. I think the media trying to shame and bully him away from Donald Trump is shortsighted and stupid and very shallow. Look, this guy befriended Trump when Trump was a guy that hosted the Miss Universe pageant, owned golf courses and was kind of an interesting celebrity. Now Trump has stepped into the political arena and the political arena baits you to be polarizing and now we really bait people to be demagogues in order to gain relevancy. I don’t think all of what Trump is doing reflects the friendship and the relationship that he and Tom Brady had built and I just don’t run away from my friends that fast. I respect the hell out of Brady for not.
Whitlock also added that he believes the four-time Super Bowl winning quarterback is attracted to positive things about Trump.
This isn’t the first time that Whitlock has strayed into the topic of politics. In November, he called the protests at the University of Missouri “bullshit” built on lies. (RELATED: Black Sports Writer Calls The Missouri Protests ‘Bullsh*t’)
