With Sen. [crscore]Lindsey Graham[/crscore] officially out of the presidential race, the focus in South Carolina now turns to the state’s other senator, [crscore]Tim Scott[/crscore].

Scott, elected to the House in 2010 and appointed to the Senate in 2013, is a popular figure in the state who is being wooed by a number of campaigns for an endorsement ahead of the state’s primary Feb. 20.

A campaign aide tells The Daily Caller that an endorsement from Scott wouldn’t come until after he moderates a Kemp Presidential Forum with Speaker of the House [crscore]Paul Ryan[/crscore] on Jan. 9th.

“If Senator Scott decides to endorse, which he hopes to do, it will be after the Kemp Forum and before the South Carolina primary,” said the Scott campaign’s Margaret Spaulding.

Many of the Republican presidential candidates have participated in his “Tim’s Town Hall series” in South Carolina, including [crscore]Marco Rubio[/crscore], Donald Trump, Carly Fiorina, Jeb Bush, [crscore]Rand Paul[/crscore], John Kasich, Ben Carson and [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore].

While the senator hasn’ made his favorite pick known yet, over the weekend, Scott appeared at an Anderson, S.C. rally with Rubio.

Another coveted endorsement in the state: that of GOP Gov. Nikki Haley.
