Kentucky senator and Republican presidential hopeful Rand Paul is known for filibustering, his libertarian-leaning views, and his annual celebration of Festivus by listing his grievances with politicians.
Festivus, the holiday started by George Costanza’s father Frank on “Seinfeld,” was created in response to the commercialism of Christmas and features an aluminum pole, feats of strength and the airing of grievances. While it’s unknown if Paul has replaced his family’s Christmas tree with a pole or will be doing any physical feats to make the day, he did air his grievances with his fellow politicians.
