Amid claims that DNC chair [crscore]Debbie Wasserman Schultz[/crscore] is “rigging the presidential primary” for Hillary Clinton, a new petition has garnered over 23,000 signatures calling for her immediate ouster.

The petition — started by progressive advocacy group RootsAction — argues that “in addition to her recent attempt to deny the Bernie Sanders campaign access to its own voter files,” Schultz has sheltered Clinton “by scheduling very few primary debates, and scheduling them at times of low TV viewing.”

Additionally, it notes that Schultz “has served as a pro-militarist and corporatist tool of the high bidders. Among recent disgraceful acts was her vote to enable racial discrimination in car buying.”

RootsAction founder Norman Solomon told the Washington Times that Schultz’s manipulative behavior “is unacceptable.”

On Monday, it was reported that Clinton paid nearly $20 million to a “joint fundraising committee” at the DNC, meant to foster competition between the Democratic presidential candidates. (RELATED: Unusual Clinton Payments To DNC Create Conflict Of Interest)
