President Barack Obama cried while talking about the children who died at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. in 2012 during his Tuesday speech on gun control.
“From every family who never imagined that their loved ones would be taken from their lives by a bullet or a gun,” Obama said before wiping away tears. “Every time I think about those kids, it gets me mad, and it happens on the streets of Chicago everyday.”
The president additionally challenged all Americans demand Congress stand up to the gun lobby and do everything possible to make “our communities safer.”
