Fox sports commentator Colin Cowherd says the Buffalo Bills only hired a female coach because it’s “politically correct” and for publicity.
The former ESPN analyst made the comments Thursday on his show “The Herd” about the Bills hiring Kathryn Smith as the first assistant coach in NFL history. (RELATED: Buffalo Bills Hire Woman As Special Teams Coach)
“This is kind of the classic PC thing in society though,” he said and confirmed with his co-host that this was nothing more than a publicity stunt.
Cowherd made it clear that he is happy for Smith, but added that she’s essentially working a “glorified internship.”
