Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum will join Donald Trump for his alternative debate event in Iowa on Thursday night.

“After the #GOPDebate I’ll join @realDonaldTrump in Des Moines to support our vets who’ve been abandoned by @BarackObama. Hope you join us!” Huckabee wrote on Twitter.

Matt Beynon, a Santorum campaign aide, told The Daily Caller that the former Pennsylvania senator will also attend Trump’s event.

Trump, who has been feuding with sponsor Fox News, is boycotting the primetime debate in Des Moines.

The New York businessman says his event, taking place at the same time, will raise money for veteran groups. He has set up a website, DonaldTrumpForVets.com, and is soliciting donations.

Huckabee and Santorum, due to low poll numbers, were not invited to the primetime debate. Instead, they will participate in the so-called Fox News undercard debate.

After that debate — along with former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore — Huckabee and Santorum will head over to Trump’s event.
