At least one one precinct ran into trouble Monday while attempting to report the Democratic Iowa caucus results.

“This is a pretty simple technological [problem],” MSNBC’s Jacob Soboroff explained. “I’m here with [precinct caucus chair] Carly Smith … and her phone battery has died, so she is not able to report the results yet to the party.”

Even without her lithium power source, Smith was able to tally the votes by hand. In her precinct — Iowa City precinct 3 — Bernie Sanders received 406 votes, good for 5 delegates, while Hillary Clinton received 93 votes, earning her one delegate.

Smith said later that she could call a phone number to report the results to the Democratic Party of Iowa.
