Laura Ingraham says that “if Trump and Cruz continue to savage each other, you might as well just hand this nomination right now to one of the establishment folks and most likely, [crscore]Marco Rubio[/crscore].”

Tuesday on “The Laura Ingraham Show,” Ingraham argued “you cannot give Rubio oxygen [because if] you give Rubio oxygen, he will be anointed the establishment nominee [sic] candidate, he will roll into South Carolina with some strength and then he will go into Florida, will have the wind at his back.”

“So [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] goes to New Hampshire and he starts taking off on Trump, let’s just say he does that. Trump starts taking off on Cruz. Let’s say they go back to the death struggle, the cage match. What have I told you over the last three weeks… I’m saying if they continue the cage match, the birth citizenship, the ‘You’re bombastic, you’re too much,’ and you know all this stuff about Goldman Sachs, if Trump and Cruz continue to savage each other, you might as well just hand this nomination right now to one of the establishment folks and most likely, Marco Rubio,” Ingraham argued. “So if that’s their goal, to ensure that Rubio becomes the nominee, then you go right ahead and keep fighting with each other,” Ingraham suggested. “See, I have an idea that we still have an establishment and we have a 62 percent when you add everybody up, it’s 62.9 percent. And Carson, Trump, Cruz, and I also throw [crscore]Rand Paul[/crscore] in that mix because those four people are not in any way acceptable to the establishment.”

“Cruz, Trump, Carson, and Rand Paul. Those four candidates, they are anti-establishment. It doesn’t mean they agree on everything, but they are anti-establishment. Add them up, 62.9 percent, add up the establishment lane and it’s about, when you add it all up it’s about, in New Hampshire it’s about 30 percent,” Ingraham said.

“Okay, well, that’s 30 percent versus 62 percent in New Hampshire and you’re going to go after each other? No, no. You cannot give Rubio oxygen. You give Rubio oxygen, he will be anointed the establishment nominee candidate, he will roll into South Carolina with some strength and then he will go into Florida, will have the wind at his back. They’re going to pressure all these candidates to drop out and endorse Rubio and Trump and Cruz are going to be licking their wounds,” Ingraham claimed. “They have to work together to defeat the establishment.”
