Social media accounts linked to the Islamic State circulated shocking photos Wednesday of a wheelchair-bound jihadi preparing to execute an alleged Libyan spy.
A man in an orange jumpsuit is seen in the picture with a rope tied around his waist, kneeling next to a masked jihadi in uniform sitting in a wheelchair. The two are positioned in front of a crucifixion device and an ISIS flag flies in the background.

The photo was reportedly captioned “the execution of spies in the city of Sirte,” referring to the Libyan port city ISIS captured last year, where the group is amassing an army to solidify its presence in Libya. (RELATED: ISIS Paying Migrants Cash Bonus To Join ‘Army Of Poor’)
Follow up photos picked up by the U.K.’s Daily Express show the man strung up on the cross, apparently dead. His head is hanging and his face bloodied.
