Donald Trump said on Sunday’s CNN broadcast of “State of the Union” that his second place finish in the Iowa caucus was not a loss.

“There wasn’t a loss,” Trump told host Jake Tapper. “I came in second, and I only came in second because [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] took away a lot of votes from Carson that should not have been taken away.”

“That was the only reason I came in second. I came in second of the original seventeen candidates,” Trump continued.

“I don’t consider that a loss Jake, and I probably came in first in actuality.”
