Former Democratic Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm and Hillary Clinton supporter raised questions about Sen. [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore]’s is eligibility to be president, but ultimately she said “I think he is” eligible.

Monday on CNN’s “The Lead” with Jake Tapper, Granholm, who was born in Canada to Canadian parents, said, “[T]his is the only time I’ll ever say I agree with Donald Trump… I think he should get a declaratory judgment. I think he should ask.” (RELATED: Trump: ‘I’d Do The Public A Big Favor’ By Suing Ted Cruz Over Eligibility To Be President )

As the Washington Free Beacon noted, Granholm joked, “My parents were legit Canadians, both of them.”

Tapper asked Granholm, “Is Ted Cruz an American citizen, do you think? A natural-born American?” (RELATED: Trump Tees Off: A ‘Canadian’ Who Goldman Sachs, Citibank ‘Owns’)

“Well, you know, I think he is. I think if it were taken to a court, it would say yes, but there is that question,” Granholm said. “So, in this sense, this is the only time I’ll ever say I agree with Donald Trump… I think he should get a declaratory judgment. I think he should ask.” (RELATED: Trump Calls Ted Cruz A Canadian ‘Anchor Baby’ )
