CHARLESTON, S.C. — A pro-[crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] Spanish-language robo-call to South Carolina voters is charging [crscore]Marco Rubio[/crscore] with supporting amnesty for illegal immigrants.

“Are you tired of leaders like Marco Rubio, who formed his campaign on opposing amnesty for those who are here illegally?” a female narrator asks in Spanish. “But after his election, Marco Rubio joined a group in Washington to pass amnesty.”

“It’s because of this that we need leaders like Ted Cruz who will enforce the intent of the law,” she says, according to a rough translation. “Ted Cruz knows that those of us who obeyed the rules are tired of feeling behind those who have cut in line.”

The narrator makes special care to stress the words “Marco Rubio,” “amnistia” and “ilegalmente.”

South Carolina’s Republican primary takes place this Saturday, Feb. 20.
