Ahead of the “SEC primary” on Tuesday, Donald’s Trump presidential campaign announced it has hired former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s daughter.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a Republican operative who has worked on her father’s campaigns, will serve as a senior adviser to Trump’s campaign.
Her hiring comes as Arkansas and other southern states prepare to go to the polls. Her father has not yet made an endorsement in the race.
“I have great respect for Governor Mike Huckabee and we have a mutual admiration for our wonderful families,” Trump said in a statement. “It is great to have his daughter, Sarah, join the campaign.”
“I volunteered to join Mr. Trump’s campaign because he is a champion of working families; not Washington-Wall Street elites,” Huckabee Sanders said. “Like the other Republican candidates, Mr. Trump is pro-life, pro-marriage, and will appoint conservatives to the courts.”
