Tampa Bay Lightning forward Tyler Johnson left a pool of blood on the ice after taking a puck directly to the face Sunday night against the Boston Bruins.
Johnson was on the boards when a Bruins player fired a shot up the glass that struck the Lightning forward causing him to drop to the ice as the blood started to flow. (SLIDESHOW: This NHL Player’s Girlfriend Is A Sexy Model Almost Too Hot To Handle)
Medical help rushed out on the ice as shocked teammates and opponents watched with worry. Johnson was able to eventually leave the ice under his own power but still clearly very shaken up.
