Despite recently joking about killing him on the Senate floor, Sen. [crscore]Lindsey Graham[/crscore] said during a Super Tuesday interview with CBS that Republicans may have to “rally around [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore]” to prevent Donald Trump from winning the nomination.

“Short of a major scandal” Trump will win, explained Graham. “And if Marco doesn’t win Florida, I don’t know how he goes for it. If Kasich loses Ohio. You know, Ted Cruz is not my favorite by any means, and I don’t wish him ill.” (VIDEO: Graham — No Conviction If You ‘Murdered’ Cruz On Senate Floor)

“I made a joke about Ted, but we may be in a position where we have to rally around Ted Cruz as the only way to stop Trump,” he added.

“I’m not so sure that would work.”
