NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. — Ben Carson officially announced he was ending his presidential campaign.

During his speech at CPAC on Friday, Carson announced he was “leaving the campaign trial” and received a standing ovation from the crowd.

Carson joked, “There’s a lot of people who love me, they just won’t vote for me.”

Last night, Carson did not attend the Fox News debate in Detroit.

Carson said that he looked at the prospects of becoming president, noted it didn’t look good and he concluded that he “didn’t want to interfere with the process.”
