The Cleveland Browns have officially cut their troubled quarterback Johnny Manziel.

NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport tweeted out Friday, “The #Browns announce they’ve waived QB Johnny Manziel.”

Manziel will still be owed more than $2 million from the Browns despite the fact that they cut him.

The former Heisman winner’s tenure in Cleveland was short and troubled. Manziel could never shake his reputation from college that he was more focused on partying than winning football games. (VIDEO: Johnny Manziel Spent Monday Night Hitting Up An LA Strip Club)

The trouble only got worse when Manziel allegedly beat his ex-girlfriend. That incident sparked a criminal investigation that is currently with a Texas grand jury. (VIDEO: Johnny Manziel Parties After Investigation Sent To Grand Jury)

The Texas A&M legend has spent most of his time under investigation partying in several locations, including a long bender in Mexico with several women. (RELATED: Johnny Manziel Reportedly Went On A Crazy Bender Shortly After Allegedly Beating His Ex-Girlfriend)

At this time it’s unclear if Johnny Football will ever play in the NFL again.
