A Twitter user aggressively threatened presidential candidate Florida Sen. [crscore]Marco Rubio[/crscore]’s deputy campaign manager Thursday night after challenging the campaigner to a fist fight over global warming.

Apparently, the user AIMHIGH420 was rather upset that when Rubio said, “as far as a law that we can pass in Washington to change the weather, there’s no such thing,” during Thursday night’s debate.

AIMHIGH420 promptly got into a Twitter spat with Rubio’s deputy campaign manager Rich Beeson over the remarks and reportedly challenges Beeson to a fist fight. AIMHIGH420’s tweet has since been deleted.

AIMHIGH420 doesn’t appear to be a troll account either, and was created in April 2013. The account-holder has tweeted about his fondness for marijuana and his support for Democratic presidential candidate Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

The Florida senator has a long record of stating that policies or legislation intended to slow global warming are not likely to have much of an impact.

Rubio also supports the Keystone XL pipeline and offshore energy drilling. But he strongly opposes the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Clean Power Plan, and wants to reduce federal regulations on fracking. The Senator pledged not to support a carbon tax and voted against extending the production tax credits for green energy.
