Los Angeles Clippers forward Branden Dawson has been arrested for alleged spousal abuse.

Dawson was arrested early Sunday at a location near the Clippers practice facility. He has since been released on $50,000 bail.

Doc Rivers briefly addressed the situation telling the media, “It’s an awful situation. I have a daughter.”

The arrest resulted in Dawson not traveling with the Clippers for their latest game. Police have not released details of what caused the arrest and Dawson has not publicly issued a statement since the arrest. (RELATED: Former Duke, NBA Point Guard Arrested For ‘Extreme DUI’)
