Donald Trump has won the Florida Republican Primary, taking all 99 delegates in the winner-take-all state.

With 84 percent of the vote reported, Trump leads with 45.7 percent, Sen. [crscore]Marco Rubio[/crscore] is in second with 27 percent, in third is Sen. [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] with 17 percent, and Gov. John Kasich is last with 6.8 percent.

In the lead-up to Tuesday’s primary, Donald Trump was leading the field in the Sunshine State by double digits.

He received the endorsement Monday of the state’s attorney general Pam Bondi. In January, Florida’s Governor Rick Scott wrote an op-ed titled, “Donald Trump has America’s pulse.” However, he never endorsed the New York real estate developer.

This is a devastating defeat for Sen.Marco Rubio in his home state. Last week, the Florida senator said, “I believe with all my heart that the winner of the Florida primary next Tuesday will be the nominee of the Republican Party.”
