Front-runner Donald Trump held off Ted Cruz Tuesday to take home victory in North Carolina’s Republican primary.

Prior to Tuesday’s contest, the real estate mogul still needed 768 delegates to cement his claim to the Republican nomination, and the 40 percent of the vote he earned in the Tar Heel state will award him a large portion of North Carolina’s 72 delegates.

Ted Cruz and John Kasich earned 36 and 12 percent of the vote respectively.
