Former Wisconsin football star and NFL player Montee Ball is facing more charges for allegedly trying to strangle a former girlfriend.

The former Heisman finalist was charged Thursday with the felony charges of strangulation and suffocation and substantial battery along with two misdemeanor charges of domestic disorderly conduct, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.

The woman contacted police after he was arrested for allegedly beating his current girlfriend and told them that Ball had choked her during an argument in 2014. According to the unnamed woman, Ball choked her and struck her on multiple occasions, generally when alcohol was involved. When the woman ended the relationship the former Wisconsin running back damaged items in her apartment when he was supposed to be picking up his things. (RELATED: Former Football Star Arrested After Allegedly Beating His Girlfriend)

According to the State Journal, one attack was allegedly so violent that Ball “put one or both of his hands on her throat and lifted her off her feet, pushing her against a wall. She said she blacked out for a few seconds. After releasing his grip, the woman said, Ball picked her up and threw her out of the hotel room into the hallway.”

Ball will face the charges in court on Monday.

The washed up former NFL player is currently awaiting trial on charges of beating his most recent girlfriend so badly that she was taken to the hospital to get stitches. When she was also at the hospital police noticed more wounds and the woman admitted that Ball had struck her before.
