Former Wisconsin football star and NFL player Montee Ball is facing more charges for allegedly trying to strangle a former girlfriend.
The former Heisman finalist was charged Thursday with the felony charges of strangulation and suffocation and substantial battery along with two misdemeanor charges of domestic disorderly conduct, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
The woman contacted police after he was arrested for allegedly beating his current girlfriend and told them that Ball had choked her during an argument in 2014. According to the unnamed woman, Ball choked her and struck her on multiple occasions, generally when alcohol was involved. When the woman ended the relationship the former Wisconsin running back damaged items in her apartment when he was supposed to be picking up his things. She said she blacked out for a few seconds. After releasing his grip, the woman said, Ball picked her up and threw her out of the hotel room into the hallway.”
Ball will face the charges in court on Monday.
