Emma Dumain, a Washington reporter for The Post and Courier in Charleston, received a personal apology from GOP presidential hopeful Ted Cruz after she said one of his security officers manhandled her.

She ultimately made one thing clear: “I was not hurt.”

Cruz’s staff — unlike that of GOP frontrunner Donald Trump last week — apologized for the incident and said the security officer needed to be retrained.

Reuters reporter Emily Stephenson chimed in on Twitter, saying,  “Probably the same guy who grabbed me by the backpack a couple weeks ago.”

The Cruz camp went the extra mile to apologize. They even paraded out the security officer to try to make things right with Dumain.

While Dumain said she appreciates the Cruz campaign efforts to apologize, she wrote, “I still don’t think I should have been treated like that.”

Ultimately she received a personal apology from Cruz and landed her interview.

That seemed to do the trick.

“Appreciated the gesture very much,” Dumain wrote.
