Khloe Kardashian stays in touch with Lamar Odom because she says he served “a purpose” in her life.

On a post on her website Monday, the 31-year-old reality star explained her relationship with her husband. (Though the two were on track to get a divorce, she called off the separation after he collapsed at a Nevada brothel last fall.)
“I want to feel like I can text a guy I’ve dated in the past to see how he’s doing without it being weird,” Kardashian wrote.
“You need a break, so you can process everything, and you need to respect yourself and your own emotions. If it’s toxic to remain friends, you shouldn’t, and if you haven’t had closure, you can’t be friends yet. “If my relationship with someone didn’t have substance anyway, we don’t need to keep in touch. I don’t need to stay friends with a guy I fucked for two weeks.”
