Tracy Morgan considered suicide after the tragic car accident he was in left a close friend of his dead.
During an interview with Rolling Stone published Friday, the 47-year-old comedian talked about the dark times during his recovery. (RELATED: Tina Fey Explains Just How Dire Tracy Morgan’s Condition Really Was)
“I said, ‘If my funny ever went away, I’d die.’ And I thought I was going to die for a long time,” Morgan told the magazine. “My thoughts — I was in a very dark place. I was sitting right here, contemplating suicide. I couldn’t walk.”
He said he felt guilty about James McNair’s death for months.
“Emotionally, it’s hard for me to deal with,” Morgan continued. “I asked everybody to be there that night. I have to live with that. But I had to forgive myself.
