The Islamic State’s chief executioner has pledged in a video that the terrorist attacks in Brussels are “just a taste” of more horrors soon to come.

The 34-year-old Hicham Chaib features in a new ISIS propaganda video, in which he declares more terrorist attacks will take place in Europe in response to airstrikes pounding militant positions in Iraq and Syria.

“As long as you bombard our Muslims with F-16s, we will kill your people,” Chaib said in the video.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the suicide attacks in Brussels, which hit the international airport and metro station, claiming the lives of at least 35 people. Four of the people killed from the blasts are American.

Chaib joined the group back in 2013 when it was starting to rise and quickly took over as lead executioner.

Before joining ISIS, he was well-known in Belgium as a prominent and radical Muslim. He ran a group called Sharia4Belgium, which he took over after its main leader was thrown in prison for stirring up hatred against non-Muslims. The group was only officially declared a terrorist organization by a judge in February 2015, who also booked 45 people connected to the group.

But at that point, Chaib had already left the country. Authorities did nothing to stop him from fleeing to Syria.

At the end of the video, he’s shown executing a man by shooting him in the head.

The video comes at a time when Belgium is still reeling from the attacks. Authorities have worked tirelessly to capture suspects potentially involved in the bombings, but are still engaged in strange security practices. Faycal Cheffou, believed to be the third suspect pictured in airport surveillance footage, was just let go by authorities Tuesday after being arrested Thursday.

Police don’t seem to think there’s enough evidence to keep him detained longer than five days.
