#NotAllMuslims Stomp And Stab Man To Death For Saying ‘Happy Easter’

Font Size:

Easter is a time of rebirth and renewal. And if you believe in it, or even acknowledge that it exists, there are people who want you dead.

Tom Morgan of The Telegraph (UK) reports from Glasgow:

A popular shopkeeper was stabbed to death by another Muslim in a “religiously prejudiced” attack hours after posting an Easter message on Facebook to “my beloved Christian nation”.

Asad Shah, 40, a devout Muslim originally from the Pakistani city of Rabwah, had his head stamped on during a savage attack, according to one eyewitness…

On Friday afternoon, police confirmed that a 32-year-old Muslim man had been arrested in connection with Mr Shah’s death.

So, a Muslim in Scotland reached out to his Christian friends with a message of peace and solidarity, and hours later he was murdered for it by another Muslim.

As always when something like this happens, I would remind you to place the blame on the real perpetrator: yourself. This is your fault*, and no amount of rationalization is going to change that. You created the conditions under which this crime occurred, and you can hardly blame the “attacker” for his own actions. He’s not responsible for anything he does, because he’s the designated victim.

Plus, the victim was Muslim too, so it cancels out. Islam was not the motive.

And now, undoubtedly, other Glaswegian Muslims are afraid of the inevitable backlash, consisting of hostile glances and rude remarks and so forth. They’ll suffer at least as much as Mr. Shah did in his final moments, if not more. Let’s keep things in perspective, people.
