Donald Trump realized his campaign team did him no service by ignoring that the delegate selection process varies from state to state.

Trump visited Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus on Thursday in an attempt to confront the delegate selection issues stalking the campaign.

The Trump camp has already been out organized by the Cruz campaign in post-primary delegate selection processes, where he lost delegates to Sen. [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] in states where he won the primary, like Georgia and Louisiana.

Trump is now in danger of losing out in the upcoming finalized delegate selection process in South Carolina and Colorado.

Trump threatened to file a lawsuit over the delegate selection results in Louisiana.

However, when Priebus explained to Trump that the delegate selection process is not uniform across the country and that each state has its own rules and processes on how it selects its delegates, Trump looked over at his staff and told them they were not doing what they needed to be doing, according to The New York Times.

Trump disputed this event telling  John Dickerson on Sunday’s “Face The Nation” calling it “false reporting.”

The Times reports campaign manager Corey Lewandowski said that Trump asked the RNC,  “Do I have a good delegate team, headed by Ed Brookover?”

The RNC told Trump Brookover is “one of the very best.”

Trump asked, “What else should I do?”

According to The Times, the RNC suggested further staff additions to his campaign.
