The first round of the 2016 Masters begins tomorrow, Thursday, April 7. In other words, it is once again time to cram as much golf knowledge in as possible in preparation for the vaunted four-day event.

Amazon is offering some great ways to read up on the sport. First and foremost is Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee’s new book “The Anatomy of Greatness.” Chamblee’s book was released on March 29 — just in time for Augusta — and you can buy it online for only just over $20, as opposed to its $30 retail value. “The Anatomy of Greatness” has earned rave reviews, with one Amazon commenter even going so far as to boldly claim that it will surpass Ben Hogan’s “Five Lessons,” the modern standard for great golf books.

For those looking for continuous updates on the sport today, you can also get heavily discounted magazine subscriptions online. A yearly subscription of Golf Magazine, for example, is currently on sale for $8, which is 87 percent off its cover price of $59.88. A year of Golf Digest is on sale for 67 percent off, and those who want its $59.88 value for $19.99 receive both the print edition and digital access.
