The Ladies Of ‘The View’ Prepare To Smooch Bernie

Bernie Sanders will face his third appearance on ABC’s “The View” on Friday since announcing his White House bid.

But he’s hardly facing anything.

Sanders, who clobbered presumed Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton in the Wisconsin primary on Tuesday, is always given the easy breezy treatment on the program. They might as well forget the puffy interview and lay his 74-year-old body out on a portable table and give him a 10-handed massage.

Sanders, who bombed in his recent interview with the New York Daily News editorial board, has nothing to fear. Certainly not from Whoopi Goldberg, who grins from ear to ear whenever she sees him. And Joy Behar, whose arm he affectionately touches while he lays out his likeminded positions for the ladies.

Friday’s appearance will undoubtedly be a far cry from the butchering ex-GOP candidate Ben Carson received last week when Whoopi knifed the essence of Carson’s being for endorsing Donald Trump.

“You’re so much better than this,” Whoopi shrieked at him. “You’re Ben Carson!”

Carson, with his calm, sleepy demeanor, tried to explain himself. But the ladies weren’t having it, except for ABC correspondent Paula Faris, who dared to suggest to her co-hosts that they’ve been harder on the GOP candidates than they have on the Democratic hopefuls. Which completely enraged Whoopi. [RELATED: The Ladies of The View Erupt Into Battle]

Let’s take a look back at Bernie’s appearances on “The View.”

On Oct. 27, 2015, he was asked the following grueling question concerning his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton. And by grueling, I mean, the easiest possible question a candidate can hope to receive during a media interview.

WHOOPI: “Why should we vote for you and can you beat her?”

BERNIE: “Let me start with the second question, yeah, we can win. …If we can create the energy and the excitement…if we can bring people together to stand up and say — are you ready for a radical idea? — maybe the United States government should represent the middle class and working families of this country and not just a handful of billionaires.”

On Feb. 10, 2016, Bernie was back for more fellatio. Why not?

Whoopi could barely contain her rapture as she announced that “The View” landed the “exclusive” first Bernie appearance after his big New Hampshire primary victory.

WHOOPI: “We were so honored that he’s making this his first after that HUGE win.”

And then another brutal question.

WHOOPI: “How do you keep up the momentum?” she asked.

BERNIE: “The message we’re bringing forth, that this is going to be a nation of fairness and we’re not seeing that fairness right now. …We are punishing people for trying to get an education. What sense is that?”
